What are Exotic Bets

Exotic bets run across more than 1 race (e.g. Double; Pick 6) Minimum bet for Exotic bets is R6 and Multiple/Permutation is accepted in all the bets

DOUBLE (2 LEGS)

  • Bet on two horses for each to finish first in two consecutive races (e.g. Race 1 & Race 2)

PICK 3 (3 LEGS)

  • Bet on three horses for each to finish first in three consecutive races (e.g. Race 1; Race 2 & Race 3)

BIPOT (6 Legs)

  • Bet on a horse to finish 1st or 2nd in each of the 6 races that comprise the BIPOT (e.g. Race 1 – Race 6)

PLACE ACCUMULATOR (7 LEGS)

  • Bet on a horse to finish 1st, 2nd  or 3rd in each of the 7 races that comprise the Place Accumulator (P/A) (e.g. Race 2 – Race 8)

PICK SIX (6 LEGS)

  • Bet on a horse to finish 1st in each of the 6 races that comprise the Pick Six (P/6) (e.g. Race 3 – Race 8)

FIRST TIMER RULE: If a horse that has not raced before wins a leg of the Pick 6 the first horse to finish of those in the race that have raced before, shall also qualify as a winner in the Pick 6 except in instances where the pool is offered on race meetings held outside the Republic of South Africa, in which case this first timer Rule shall not apply, e.g. Mauritius.

JACKPOT (4 LEGS)

  • Bet on a horse to finish 1st in each of the 4 races that comprise the Jackpot (e.g. Race 4 – Race 7).

 

 

 

JACKPOT QUICKMIX

  • It is a combination of different meetings (Saftote indicates the meetings and races that forms part of the bet).
  • When the first leg of the Jackpot Quick mix is cancelled/abandoned, there will be no betting.

Example: 

1st leg - Race 4; number 2

2nd leg - Race 5; number 7

3rd leg - Race 6; number 6

4th leg - Race 7; number 4

  • If the second or any leg (accept leg 1) of the Jackpot quick mix is cancelled it will be declared as a field. 

Example:

1st leg - Race 4; number 2

2nd leg - Race 5; number 7

3rd leg - Race 6; number 6

4th leg - Race 7; number 4
